is aimed at supporting the strategic direction of a company. The design of one single
product - or a service, a corporate identity, a whatever- derives it's value from the
way it contributes to the bigger picture.
Components that can play a role in design strategy are: analyzing and defining a target-
market, portfolio and collection-analysis, translating trends and developments from
other industries, SWOT-analysis.
