New eras ask for new business models. To come to new solutions for setting up
a business, think about the value proposition or to find new ways to
the current business, a new tool
has been developed: the business model canvas. This simple tool uses the
flexibility of design thinking and abstract building blocks to formulate a value
proposition for a specified segment, and construct a business model around it.
An adaptation is shown below. Most important advantage: focus on value for the client, in stead of
staying on the existing paths and repeating tools. So next to offering flexibility the model helps to abstract and innovate.
